Compoundexpress is looking for Backend developer with proven track record in building enterprise applications. Person should be able to Write clean, efficient and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards. Such a person will need, superb understanding of database management and experience in Java backend development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend applications using Java and related technologies.Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend applications using Java, Spring Boot and related technologies.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high code quality and adherence to best practices
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL to design and optimize data models and queries.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies and apply them to improve development processes.

Key Skills

• EDUCATION : BTech/BE in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent qualification in related field
• EXPERIENCE: 2-6 years of professional experience in Java backend development. Preference given to candidates who have worked in Startups and/or Financial Services domain.
• Needs Great understanding of Agile development, Team working, Good communication skills
• Strong proficiency in Java (preferably JDK 21), with knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Strong understanding of database management and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work well in a team environment is a Must
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex technical problems.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) will be a Plus.
• Prior experience in Fintech, preferably in wealth and financial services domain will be a Plus
